Six months after the 2014 Winter Olympics were held in Sochi, Russian photographer Alexander Belenkiy visited Rosa Khutor, the town where the alpine events were held. Of course, visiting a winter resort during summer adds to the atmosphere of abandonment, with empty streets and closed hotels.

Really interesting, I wonder what will happen to this town now? And I love seeing those new uninstalled toilets there too, after all the fuss that was made about toilets in the town at the time of the games.
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to if it still looks deserted this winter. Most alpine resorts look deserted and desolate in the summer months.
